Snowed in
This weekend has been really windy, and when I woke up today the road to my house was covered in snow. Not just a little bit, but waist deep in some places. I had to call the snow plow 3 times before he finally made it to my house around 6pm. I haven't been able to go anywhere all day long, not that it mattered. After girl's night out last night, it was good to have a relaxing day at home.
I have moved my car a bit further up the road in case the road gets covered again.

Premeditated murder in Norway
My 15 year old cousin was strangled to death by her neighbor. He pled guilty and they are now discussing the penalty. The possibilities? He may get somewhere from 10-16 years in prison, at least that is what they are discussing right now. The max would have been 21, but since he pled guilty they are reducing it some, and because of his young age (18), he may get another reduction. I am not sure what his age got to do with anything. He wasn’t 8; he knew what he was doing. Guess what I think of the Norwegian penal system? Guess what I think would be a suitable punishment. The answer is far from 10-16 years in a posh Norwegian prison, that’s for sure.

Norway is just too cold for me
It is a whopping -4 degrees Farenheit here right now. Someone remind me why I thought it would be a good idea to move from Texas to Norway. When I got up this morning it was about 40F inside the house, yes INSIDE! The heater had stoped working, I guess it was too cold for it to work properly. I braved the elements and took a quick shower. After I got me and Troy dressed, mind you that takes a while with about 5 layers of clothing, I went outside to start the car. No luck. At first I could not even get the key in the ignition, the whole thing was frozen. When I finally managed to get the key working, the car sure as H would not start. I had to call for help, but no luck. I then had to get a ride to take Troy to daycare, and then to work where I could pick up my laptop to bring it home so I could get some work done. Before I started working I had to go out to the barn and pick up some firewood so that I could attempt to heat this place. After two hours, it was 55F, and I managed to work without mittens. It seems like it the temperature will stay like this for a few more days whoop-de-freaking-doo!
