How stupid do you think I am?

When picking up Troy at daycare today his teacher told me that during lunch today Troy had been sitting there pinching his own cheek. He pinched it, and then cried because it hurt. The teacher said to him: stop pincing your cheeck, it hurts you. He looked at her and almost rolled his eyes and said: I know that!

This evening we had Mac and cheese for dinner. It was the first time Troy got to try it, and he loved it (maybe there is a little bit of a Texan in him after all).
For some reason Troy is at a stage where a lot of things are scary. Lately it has been the dark, and even before we get to the bedroom he starts telling me that I can not turn off the light. I am not sure if he is really scared of the dark, or if he likes to be able to control that the light stays on. I suspect the latter from my little sneak.

Poop in the tub

I let Troy take a bath in a plastic tub that we have before he went to bed tonight. He was in the bathroom by himself for a short while. I kept talking to him the entire time, and I asked if he wanted me in there with him. No, go away!! Ok, that made me a bit worried, so of course I had to go and take a peek. There he is, sitting in the tub playing with something I at first don't recognize. He looks up at me and smile and says: poop in my bathtub. Yikes!

Good Night

When I laid down next to Troy this evening to put him to sleep, we talked for a bit.
I asked him if he knows the name of the people around him. What is Dads name - Odin. What is Mom's Name - Laila. He knew all his grandparents and uncle and aunts names. Since I was so impressed by that, he decided to keep on impressing me. He then counted to 6 in Norwegian, and then sang the ABCs in English with me. We he said the name for his nose, ears and eyes in both English and Norwegian. By that time he was done with the impressing and told me he was tired. I am tired and want to sleep sleep now.
